Summer Lovin'

Ah. Summer that word fills me with an inordinate amount of joy. It equals floating in bodies of water, Birkenstocks, bare legs. Itchy noses daisy chain making despite my hayfever and the inimitable feeling of cool water washing over your feet. Outfits consist of big shirts, knickers and shoes with which to potter around in and if I must venture out I just chuck on a silk slip over my tshirt or my old summer dress from primary school. Public transport is barely and if I want to get anywhere it involves leg power, skateboards, bicycles, or my favourites boats and trains. Most of all its fuss free, breakfast is raspberries from the garden, trying to make sure that the juice keeps well away from the white shirt I'm wearing. Hands smell of SPF 50 suncream and my Mum tries to compete with my tanning ability . Later on chilly breezes are solved by huge jumpers and wooly socks, with your sandals of course. And of course hats to protect my skin from the sun, either battered caps like Harry Dean Stanton's or my favourite bucket hats. And of course the recycling of three years worth of subjects that I will never have to do again! What does summer equal for you?

P.S. Also in a completely seasonally inappropriate way I am totally digging bomber jackets and possibly also puffa jackets(!). Bomber jackets are definitely cool...puffa jackets maybe not so much.
